Pop-up store, also known as ‘Flash Retailing’, is a trend of opening short-term sales spaces that last for days to weeks before closing down, often to catch onto a fad.
Even though these stores appear for a very less duration, they surely leave a huge impact onto people’s memory. Many brands have taken up this form of marketing as it has proven to be very impactful and effective.
Here are a few brands that have done a Pop-Up store in the best way possible.
1. Nike
To celebrate the United States Olympic basketball team going for the gold, San Francisco–based studio Hybrid Design partnered with Nike Brand Design and London-based animation production company Golden Wolf to create a one-of-kind boutique retail experience in San Francisco and relaunch an equally unique shoe: the Nike Air Foamposite One.
The pop-up store—a larger-than-life digital sneaker box—projected Air Foamposite One–inspired animation on all sides of its exterior.
2. Adidas
Created for the Primavera music festival in Barcelona, Spain, the Adidas Originals Popup Shop was certainly a main attraction. Incredibly detailed, the store has everything from the information of the shoe on the side of the ‘shoe box’ to a couple of laces peaking from the roof. A fun creation, the adidas Originals Popup Shop is a sight to behold.
3. H&M
International fashion retailer H&M opened up a pop-up store in Austria for the very first time in 2017 in Pandorf, Austria.
4. Converse
Converse used a brilliant idea converting their pop-up store into a caravan.
5. Coca-Cola
Coca-Cola pop up store has already been in Budapest, Vienna, Warsaw, Sofia and Belgrade, and in Sarajevo.
6. UNIQLO
The UNIQLO Fashion street pop was surely an eye catcher. Two tiny pop-up store cubes with a deep attention to detail were designed to introduce New York City to the Japanese clothing brand UNIQLO.
7. Nutella
This trendy Nutella Pop-up cafe opened up in HafenCity for just 10 days.
