1. YouTube

In an attempt to make sharing clips from videos more accessible and easy, the video streaming platform- YouTube is now allowing users to share videos through specific timestamps.

This update has been made available on Android and iOS devices and makes it easier to share with friends and family the exact moment that had an impact on the user.

In another update, what is the most discussed issue of modern AI-generated content? The deepfakes. It is a matter that pesters all content creators, all public figures, and all brands. Deepfakes have become an important issue of 2024 after many public figures faced ludicrous videos that went viral on social media.

In a blog post, the Google-owned platform mentioned, “First, we’ve developed new synthetic-singing identification technology within Content ID that will allow partners to automatically detect and manage AI-generated content on YouTube that simulates their singing voices. We’re refining this technology with our partners, with a pilot program planned for early next year.”

“Second, we’re actively developing new technology that will enable people from various industries- from creators and actors to musicians and athletes- to detect and manage AI-generated content showing their faces on YouTube. Together with our recent privacy updates, this will create a robust set of tools to manage how AI is used to depict people on YouTube,” it added.

To further update its performance, YouTube has introduced an update that will protect younger users and make their experience better. This will begin to roll out globally, and now parents and teens will be able to link their accounts on the ‘Family Center’ hub.

In another blog post, the platform added, “YouTube is a place where teens can learn, explore their passions, express themselves, and find belonging. We recognize the important part we play in their lives and today, we’re introducing a new supervised experience on YouTube that will give parents and teens the option to link their accounts and get shared insights and notifications. This new experience is designed to keep parents informed about their teens’ channel activity on YouTube and help them provide encouragement and advice on responsible content creation.”

2. Google
Google remains at the forefront of the E-commerce industry thus making it a vital platform for brands to survive. With that information in place, the platform also looks after the merchants that come to sell their products. In an attempt to cater to the same crowd, the tech giant has introduced a series of updates, that are as follows:
