Traffic is a part of our daily routine yet hated by literally everyone. The car honks, pollution, and sun on top of the head along with miserable anxiety to reach the office on time is just not the right manner to begin a day.
Due to the high population, India faces the problem of traffic the most. The same reason causes the pain of lack of fulfillment of solid infrastructure in cities.
Most Traffic-Loaded Cities In The World!
According to a study that has been directed on the traffic load by TomTom (location tech company) that has been conducted in 416 cities of 57 nations, Bengaluru is known to have the highest traffic congestion rate all over the world.
There is no doubt Bangaloreans face the most traffic issues but Mumbai, Delhi, and Pune have also been noticed on the list. Bangalore has 71% congestion whereas Mumbai, Delhi and Pune have 65%, 56%, and 59% traffic load, respectively.
Other cities that are on the list are Manila (Phillipines), Bogota (Columbia), Moscow (Russia), Lima (Peru), Istanbul (Turkey) and Jakarta (Indonesia).
The Bangaloreans, in simple words, spend way too much time in traffic than in their offices. The study says that the same extra time is equal to 243 hours whereas for the people of Mumbai, Pune, and Delhi, it is 209, 193 and 190 hours, respectively.
Traffic load does not only create irritation but cruel diseases due to the resultant pollution. More and more trees shall be planted and grown in order to get relaxation from the problem of polluted air.
