Sundar’s real name is Sundarajan Pichai and he was born in Chennai.
Sundar’s father worked as an electrical engineer while his mother was a stenographer.
Early days of Sundar’s life were typically middle class, his family had no television or a car. In fact, they got their first telephone when Sundar was 12 years old.
Sundar studied metallurgical and materials engineering, which was way different from his current career choice. He then pursued a course in electronics. Winning a silver medal at IIT Kharagpur, Pichai went to Stanford on a scholarship.
Sundar was known to have a very sharp memory, in earlier days he was infamous for remembering all telephone numbers by heart.
Even now Sundar interacts with students at IIT Kharagpur via Skype, on a regular basis. He is a very down to earth person and has no qualms about his position in life.
It has been strongly rumored that Twitter tried its best to hire Sundar, but Google paid him a hefty pay increase in order to retain his services.
Pichai was also a top contender for CEOs job at Microsoft.
Sundar is a big fan of Cricket besides Soccer and Chess. He was even the captain of his school cricket team.
