The survey highlights the lasting impact of nicknames received during childhood or school years. Nicknames create a distinct sense of belonging, with 61% of respondents mentioning that they go by a different name at home.

About the Survey and Research Methodology

The survey, commissioned by YouGov, interviewed 2500 respondents aged 16 to 30 across ten Indian cities.
