Nike launched.Swoosh, a web3 platform in November last year, to broaden the scope of its Web3 strategy. And just recently the athletic apparel and shoes major unveiled its first-ever digital collection – Our Force 1, aka OF1.

This virtual collection will be made publicly available on 10th May, while the ones with special invites can start availing of these products two days earlier, from 8th May. Only those who have already minted their IDs before April 12th will be considered for early access.

Interested ones can choose to buy from two options- “Classic Remix” and “New Wave” costing $19.82 each.

On any day, post 10th May, the brand will reveal all OF1 boxes, and only then will one come to know of its contents. Till then, purchasers wouldn’t even know what design have they bought. Registered members will be alerted about the same, will also have the option of not opening the box and also be allowed to export to other platforms if it addresses compatibility issues.

The Collection

The collection has more than 10,000 creations, and a majority of them are based on Air Force 1.

A Classic Remix box can get you a “favorite, classic archive AF1 released from 1982 to 2006” or “a more unique, custom AF1 with a nostalgic twist.”

The ones who order New Wave will receive a “classic archive from 2007 or later” or “an expressive, custom AF1 with a more futuristic twist.”

Four more designs from a previously held “Your Force 1” contest are featured in the mix collection.

Nike launched its first drop, dubbed “Airdrop 101” that featured four virtual posters. .Swoosh is said to drop 106453 OF1 posters, which will act as an access pass for their NFT collection.

Users can also exchange their OF1 Posters for an OF1 Box, which will be swapped for a redeemed edition.

.Swoosh had already seen over 330,000 accounts created till April 18th.

“We are exploring new ways to tell stories and create relationships while removing the barriers and limitations of a physical product,” Ron Faris, GM of Nike Virtual Studios, said in a statement. “With more members choosing to express themselves across physical and digital worlds,Swoosh is the marketplace of the future.”

As per Nike, the future seems to be exciting, beginning with these OF1 boxes, which will unlock additional utilities and benefits for holders. Benefits include access to exclusive physical products and experiences.
