The day 29th April has come with a shock to all the people of India and cinema lovers all across the world as one of India’s legendary across of all time- Irrfan Khan is no more with us. Hailing from a very normal background, Irrfan’s journey to the top is something that makes the whole country proud. Let’s read about his life:
Career
Irrfan learnt about acting at National School of Drama from where he graduated in 1984. He became very few of the self-made stars in the country with his amazing skills. He practiced theatre after that and went on to act in serials like Chanakya, Bharat Ek Khoj and Chandrakanta.
After that, he worked in movies like Ek Doctor Ki Maut and Such a Long Journey but failed to gain the attention of audience. However, these setbacks did not stop him from achieving hid goals.
Very soon, he got chances to appear in Hollywood movies like Life of Pi and The Amazon Spider-Man and Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire along with The Namesake. He also acted in an original HBO series named Intreatment which was aired in the year 2008. Irrfan was also a part of Inferno and Jurassic World.
He was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 & even after that, he didn’t stop working and acted in the movie Angrezi Medium which was released just before the lockdown due to COVID-19.
There is no doubt that Irrfan Khan’s death is a huge loss for the industry and the whole nation is going to miss him.
